A beautiful Hawke's Bay barrel-fermented wine with plenty of yeast autolysis character resulting in light yellow gold in the glass with a full on tantalising leesy bouquet filled with toasty, biscuity, nutty, lemony, mealy notes and powerful yet not overpowering. The toasty peaches and cream, flint and gunsmoke notes and balanced dry savoury oak finish adds length that lingers with a touch of cedary salinity. The texture and complexity and will probably enhance even more with a little extra bottle age.
